#226 - Past Prompts Revisited : #70 - The Future By elfin Jack flounces in like a pair of velvet curtains. “Every time I see you, you’ve re-decorated.” The Doctor slouches on a couch that isn’t there; crumpled shirt, loose tie, hands stuffed into coat pockets, miserable as fuck but the attraction is as strong as always. “Every time I see you I’m sure it’s the last.”The TARDIS walls shift; autumn colours sliding over purple and black before the dark recovers them. “I need to travel.” Shadows fill Jack’s eyes.He sees the truth. “You need to escape.” “Can I?”“Sure.” He feels the pull, wonders why he ever fought it. |
